Alison Denvir
Director, Commercial Rights and Business Affairs, BBC Nations
Alison is a lawyer with over 20-years experience in television production, financing, commissioning and distribution. She has worked for a number of media companies, from small indies to broadcasters. Originally a television production graduate, she moved to the business side early on in her career, working as Business Development Manager for Channel 4, then as Contracts Manager for Harper Collins, licencing rights in literary works into Film and TV. She has managed the Business Affairs on a wide range of BBC brands including Who Do You Think You Are?, Natural World, Question Time, Homes Under the Hammer, and Mrs Browns Boys.
In her current role as Head of Commercial Rights and Business Affairs, Nations at the BBC, Alison leads teams in Scotland, NI and Wales who negotiate deals on behalf of the BBC with content owners across all media.
