FOCUS is now accepting applications for business development support from all eligible screen companies in Scotland through the Consultancy Fund.
IMPORTANT: Please note that any applications submitted to this fund will have to complete the consultancy by Friday 3rd June, 2022.
WHO CAN APPLY?
Production companies that are registered in Scotland and producing audiovisual content for broadcast or distribution are welcome to apply. Please check the full FOCUS eligibility guidelines for details.
Priority will be given to companies that consider themselves to be facing significant barriers to growth. There will be an opportunity to outline these barriers in the application form.
WHAT CAN YOU ACCESS?
The FOCUS Consultancy Fund can be accessed for consultancy work that will help you to grow your company. You can apply to access any business development support that you need.
The support may be delivered by any of the FOCUS consultants. If you require expertise that is not currently covered by any of the contracted consultants then we can look to source somebody suitable - please speak to us to discuss.
HOW MUCH CAN YOU APPLY FOR?
The maximum spend per company is £800.
IS THERE A DEADLINE?
You will be able to apply for consultancy support on a rolling basis, according to need and opportunity.
HOW WILL YOUR APPLICATION BE ASSESSED?
The FOCUS team will assess all applications on a case by case basis according to the FOCUS eligibility and selection criteria. Please take a look at these criteria on the FOCUS website.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY APPLICATION IS APPROVED?
If your application is accepted, you will be invited to discuss your business need with the FOCUS Business Development Manager, Ashe Hussain. This is an opportunity to explore the best consultant to support your company. Once you have agreed a plan of support, FOCUS will send you an agreement outlining the costs and outputs of the consultancy.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
Support will be offered on the same basis as all previous FOCUS support, with the participating company contributing one half of the actual consultancy costs.
For example, if a consultant’s fee is £800 the company will contribute £400. This must be paid in advance of any consultancy.
