Derek Drennan is a Scotland-based Executive and founder of Nest Productions. Nest was set up in response to a growing need for high-quality production support in a fast and ever-changing landscape. It is a fully-fledged multi-genre indie, but without creatives.

Nest has partnered with over 300 companies since its inception. It supports indies with everything they need to grow and be able to win and produce big commissions, including supplying senior production expertise, and also wider support in legal, finance, HR & IT.

Prior to setting up Nest Productions, Derek was part-time MD at Honeybird Studios and Green Red Media, he was Director of Production at Saffron Cherry Productions and full-time at Wise Owl Films. Derek has also worked at Lime Pictures and Monkey Kingdom.
