Stories For Screen was a unique series of free workshops designed to help young writers turn their ideas into a short script.

Led by multi-award winning writer and director Adrian Mead, the course ran in 2016 and taught participants about screenwriting techniques, structure and format, providing them with professional guidance and feedback as they developed their scripts over three sessions.

Stories for Screen was hosted by Film City Futures and the sessions were held at Film City Glasgow, a centre for the screen industries in Scotland which houses over 25 companies from across the production and post-production sector.

The course was led by Adrian Mead, a multi award winning writer and director of film, television and radio drama. He has numerous credits for BBC, ITV, Channel 4, CBBC and international production companies and broadcasters.

Adrian regularly works in the UK and abroad as a speaker or teacher of creative writing workshops and mentors individuals and groups. His book Making It as a Screenwriter was named by leading industry professionals as the definitive career guide for aspiring screenwriters.
