Media & Digital Consultant and FOCUS Expert, Jen Topping, will lead this FOCUS Webinar to discuss and demystify the complexity of the current screen and TV landscape.
Jen will provide an overview of the current state-of-play, identify key players, look at streamer business models and priorities and the rise of FAST channels and explore what the future might hold for the screen landscape – while identifying challenges and opportunities for Scotland’s independent production companies to produce content and get it screened.
In this FOCUS Webinar, Channel 4 Senior Digital Commissioner and Senior Operations Lead, Laura Marks, will discuss making “social first” content when it comes to developing ideas and returning formats for digital platforms and channels.
Laura will talk about Channel 4’s digital strategy and what indies need to consider for creating digital-first content – from ideas and pitching processes to budgets and duration of content. She will also explore the importance of developing and attaching talent.
Matthew will provide insights into the current distribution landscape and Rocket Rights' new model of distribution. He will discuss how his company works with indies and the system of rights.
Matthew will discuss what you need and when to approach a distributor, the terms to expect, how to find the right distributor for your business, and developing a slate of projects with value. The discussions will centre mainly around Non-scripted across genres, however, Rocket Rights does have some clients working with Scripted.
