Join us for our information session with Channel 4's Head of Indie Relations, Rebecca Thompson, to find out all you need to know about the Emerging Indie Fund.

Channel 4's Emerging Indie Fund is now open for applications until 9am on the 19th October 2023. Full details of eligibility and how to apply is available on this page on that date.
The aim of the Fund is to nurture emerging indie talent from the Nations and Regions and help them to grow their business through a proven combination of commissioner support, funding, and training.
To be eligible for the Emerging Indie Fund applicants must meet all the criteria below:
Primary office and more than 50% of key creative decision-makers based in the Nations and Regions
A true indie in which no one broadcaster holds more than 25% of its shareholding
Turnover must be below £6m according to the latest set of accounts
Has a slate of content in development suitable for Channel 4
Evidence of a previous TV, film or digital production credit
No more than one previous Channel 4 linear series commissioned or recommissioned
No previous participation in the Emerging Indie Fund as a main awardee
About Rebecca Thompson
Rebecca Thompson is the Head of Indie Relations at Channel 4 and based in their Glasgow office. The focus of her role is on improving the commissioning process and indies’ experience of working with the channel, as well as supporting the drive to commission more from the Nations and Regions and managing the Emerging Indie Fund. Rebecca joined Channel 4 from leading FOCUS, a project offering business development support for film and TV companies in Scotland. Her previous roles include founding and running both Hot Tap Media, a digital production company, and Social Screen. She was previously a digital producer at KEO Films and a Commissioning Editor at Channel 4.
