Scotch! was established by multi-award winning director Donald Coutts, well known for his crafted documentaries. Donald’s credit list is endless and his success has been crowned by several BAFTAs including one for Best Director and a Peabody for his work.
Donald has recently been joined by Alistair Ferguson to expand the company’s outlook.
Alistair is a seasoned Scottish broadcast practitioner, with a wealth of credits from delivering programmes both in the UK and internationally, as an Editor.
After spending many years in small dark rooms, Alistair has seen the light and left post-production to embark on a career in production. He is now settled in the role of Development Producer at Scotch! with his sights set on driving growth.
Leveraging established achievements and recognition, Scotch! aims to win commissions and produce content which captivates, inspires and entertains ...not just here at home, but across the globe.
Investments are starting to bear fruit. Active discussions in latter stages are an ambitious, defining and challenging inclusivity documentary for a UK terrestrial and a prospective returnable format for a major international broadcaster.
Scotch! has a desire to contribute to Scotland’s creative output, delivering productions of scale and worth - creatively and financially. We are eager to invest in both established and flourishing local talent to build and promote our homeland’s talent base.
The development slate at Scotch! extends from Fact Ent to Formats. No matter the content, their focus is on producing high quality broadcast television from Scotland to the world.
