Jamie Wolpert

Jamie is a development consultant and scriptwriter based in London.
After graduating from Oxford University with a degree in Psychology & Neuroscience, Jamie took the producing MA at the National Film & Television School, where his graduation film was nominated for an Oscar.
He started his career on the Harry Potter films with director David Yates, providing additional script material and also playing the role of Newspaper Vendor in the fifth film. He was a script editor on EastEnders and development executive for Paul Abbott (Shameless, No Offence) before becoming development executive at the BFI Film Fund, where he championed new talent and worked on several British films including Pride, Frank and The Selfish Giant as well as being a mentor/judge on the iFeatures scheme across films including Lady Macbeth and God’s Own Country.
He was subsequently VP Creative at Elton John’s Rocket Pictures and Head of Development for Oscar-winning filmmaker Steve McQueen (12 Years a Slave, Hunger, Widows). After writing a screenplay, Jamie joined Simon Pegg and Nick Frost’s production company Stolen Picture across their slate of TV and Film projects. He does consulting work for Mulcahy Associates Literary Agents, and is currently working on a miniseries for the BBC alongside a couple of other feature films.
