Ally Branley is a social media marketing and training consultant with over 20 years’ experience in the TV industry. She also works with clients including local councils, climate finance and education. She started her career in production at 1990s powerhouse Planet 24, firstly in post-production and clip sales. Following this she spent several years working through the ranks of the creative roles in production on a mix of comedy and music TV, for programmes broadcast on BBC, ITV and Channel 4; before becoming a web producer for UKTV.

She specialised in social media in 2006 at MTV and then Channel 4, where she developed and led the social strategy for nine years, covering both programmes and TV channels. In this time, she advised and trained countless producers, and brings this knowledge to Film City Futures clients.

For the past 3 years; she has freelanced as a consultant offering training and strategy development for both producers and small businesses looking to grow their social reach and use social channels as a resource for contacts and ideas. She also continues to work in the field on accounts for production companies and wider clients in a creative capacity.

Past programmes include: Humans, Utopia, Big Brother, Dispatches, Channel 4 News, The Jump, Neighbours, The Queen’s 90th Birthday, The Smell of Reeves and Mortimer and The Graham Norton Show.
